NEW PUB: Biochemical and molecular biomarkers and their association with anthropogenic chemicals in wintering Manx shearwaters
A new paper investigating biomarkers that may reflect negative impacts of chemicals on bird health has just been published. Most procellariform seabirds (albatrosses, petrels, shearwaters, etc) are long-lived and travel over vast distances, often connecting ocean basins and hemispheres, and thus make good indicators of global problems such as marine pollution.
